Many professional development opportunities will not require significant travel, costs, or time outside of normal business hours. For example, the Organizational Development office in Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness offers a variety of training and learning opportunities. In addition, a number of online opportunities are available through:
- LinkedIn Learning (linkedinlearning.tamu.edu)– Texas A&M University provides LinkedIn Learning (formerly lynda.com) free to all staff, students, and faculty. You need not have a LinkedIn account, but will be required to log in with your NetID and password.
- Coursera (www.coursera.org) – access to learning videos at Coursera is free, but there is a charge to submit graded work or to earn a certificate
- Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org) – free
- edX (www.edx.org) – access to course content is free, but there is a charge to submit graded work or to earn a certificate
