All travel by University employees and students on official University Business must be approved in advance. Pre-trip authorization is required through CONCUR, the electronic travel reservation and expense system of Texas A&M University. Effective April 4, 2012, the CONCUR Pre-trip Authorization process replaces the PDF versions of the Foreign Travel Request Form and Acknowledgement of Risk Form for all Texas A&M University System members who are participating in CONCUR.

Travel to a Country under Travel Warning
According to University Rule 21.01.03.M1 , a faculty or staff member traveling on university business to a country under a travel warning must have approval from the university President. (Note: Travel by undergraduate students will not be approved when the travel is to any foreign country that is under a travel warning.) In order to receive presidential approval, pre-trip authorization must be completed through CONCUR.
